Wet but Fun

can best describe this weekend. Saturday morning we got up and decided to take the boys to Kings Island. It has been awhile since we had been up there and having season passes we want to get our money's worth. We thought with the rain that it wouldn't be that crowded, but it wound up being very crowded. We got there first thing in the morning and Logan and I knocked out the kiddie land in an hour. While Steve and Brayden went their separate ways to go ride the big roller coasters. We are at that stage know where we have to go separate places. But it allows us the time to spend with each of the boys one on one so I really do not mind. Logan is so much fun to be with because he gets so excited. He wanted to ride the water flume and we were already wet so I said why not - oh it was a bit cold after that, for a while.

But overall it was a great day - it was a day of just relaxing and having fun, we had no where to go or no where to be - it was just us. When we got home everyone took a two hour nap which messed up the evening. Not waking up until 7 from a nap and then having two boys stay up until midnight, made for a long evening.

Yesterday we allowed daddy to sleep in until noon. Now for those of you who know Steve he used to do this all of the time and I can see Brayden following in his footsteps - they love their sleep. And then we headed out to Steve's mom and then to mom's. Mom made dad's favorite dinner in that we had barbeque spare ribs, twice baked potatoes, salad, corn and mushrooms - it was so good! Still wasn't the same without dad there, but we did our best. The boys didn't go golfing because of the weather, but they each took their families fishing - in two separate places - which I am sure the kids loved it!

I am hearing the thunderstorms rolling in - and I know the next two days are suppose to be unbearably hot - so stay cool and try to stay dry.
