Missing the boat....

oh how I miss having a boat. Now mind you Steve and I have never owned a boat - he really isn't the outdoorsy type of guy :)... I miss the boating days with all 7 of us before we were grown and married - I loved the wind as you were riding down the lake, I LOVED water skiing and tubing - I wish so bad that my boys can experience that, that they can experience the camping and the "lake" experience. But the closest thing we will come to that is mom's creek in the backyard LOL....

Busy weekend - of course. Graduation party tonight in the "The Doe", grill outs, lawn work, house work, sweating, working out, opening Grandma's pool and spending time with family and friends. It is going to be a GREAT weekend!!!

I hope everyone is able to spend some time with their family and friends and you are careful! It can be a dangerous weekend with the cops out - so everyone be careful!

It is going to be a hot one - put the sunscreen on :)

True Friends

it is funny in life how you think you have friends and then something happens and you will realize that they weren't your real friends anyway. True Friends will see you through thick and thin, they won't call you to tell you to "Not tell anyone we talked", they will not be afraid to talk to you. They will as true friends should be there for you, they will not judge you and they will continue the friendship that once was.

I was reminded of this last night. I met up with two previous co-workers. One was in from out of town and the other one I just hadn't seen for a while. Since we all had something in common this week and lost a dear friend/co-worker it was nice that we were able to get together. We had so much fun remembering what use to be and the great times and friends we had. It was just so WONDERFUL to see that they are still my TRUE FRIENDS and I will be forever grateful for their friendship. We will definitely keep in touch more.

Death does that to people you know. You live your life, so busy life and then someone in your life may pass away and then you realize what life is really all about and what really matters to you. So here is to my TRUE FRIENDS - you know who you are - I am eternally grateful for our friendship through the years - thanks for the drinks and laughs last night - it was just what the doctor ordered :)

Almost

done - school that is. It doesn't seem fair Brayden says to me last night, that all of the other schools are out and we aren't yet. Boone County is already out, Blessed Sacrament and other schools are out this week, and yet we continue to go until next Thursday. Kind of doesn't make sense does it buddy. Next week seems like it will be a waste since they are off on Monday and you know the last three days is just cleaning and playing games - I told him you are almost there buddy, almost and then you are going to be in 4th grade - YIKES. It just seems like yesterday he was in kindergarten.

Poor Logan is going to have to wait another year - with his birthday being in December he doesn't make the cut off. Instead of being one of the youngest kids in his class like Brayden is he will be one of the oldest - he so bad wants to be in school with his brother - so badly. But he will get there soon enough.

I am sitting here thinking where in the heck did May go and the school year! My gosh, it has flown by so quickly just like life does you know.

I hope everyone is having a great week. It is Wednesday night and you all know what that means. But tonight will be especially fun because one of my old co-workers is stopping by - I am so excited to catch up with him. Since a co-worker of ours died this past week, it seems like alot of us our catching up - which I completely love!!!!

Spying

thought for the day: if you are going to spy on someone, may not want to wear a black ball cap, or be sunken in your car or drive by real slow so the person you are spying on can see you. Next time, let's not make it so obvious. Uh duh! That is the first rule of spying :) You may want to instead support your company and the loss that has been dealt.

Lord, please give me the strength today!

Sorry, just a little perturbed today and had to vent. It makes sense to no one except for the spy that is going to read this :)

Walking

it is amazing what walking can do for you. Not only can it get you from one place to another but it is a great stress reliever, it helps you slim down, it is a great time to relax or to talk to your walking buddy. We started walking here at work, just during lunch, about 3 of us - it helps because we hold each other accountable and we have time to do it. I have always been so busy in the evenings and when I take a walk with the boys, it isn't much of a work out because we have to stop every 2 seconds for something - you know. It has taken me 20+years but I have finally figured out eating right and exercising really does make you feel better - go figure :).....

It seems like lately I have been going to more funerals than I have celebrations. I have another one next week from a previous co-worker. I worked with him for 10+ years and I loved talking to him, he always had the best stories. He had a massive heart attack and passed away at the age of 51. Too young................

Here are some pictures from the week. Logan is my little helper in the yard. He loves to work and he loves to help. Brayden on the other hand, would rather play with his friends LOL. Logan would rather work and he always tells his little friend, "I'll be over when I finish my work" God Love him. And as you can tell in the pictures he is a sweaty little guy, both boys are. They always have been. I always tease that they came out sweating....Logan had a fake snake the one day and he wanted me to take his picture - goof ball!

Last night we walked up to the lake in our neighborhood with stale bread, the boys loved it, Logan had an absolute ball feeding the ducks, geese, and fishes. It took forever to get through one piece of bread because he was making the pieces so small, he was savoring the moment. In the one picture you can see him running from the geese, those little creatures have no fear!

Happy Birthday Aunt Diana - I hope all of the grandkids and kids and Uncle Tom spoil you rotten - you deserve it! Sending you hugs and kisses!!

Bad Blogger....... I know!

I know, I know, I am a bad blogger, well at least the last two weeks I have been. It has just been crazy busy at work and at home, both boys involved in soccer and testing and grass needs to be cut, flowers need to be planted, mulch needs to be laid down, trips to Kings Island, library etc.... just a few of things that we have been up to.

And this post will be short because I am headed into a meeting, but just wanted to let you all know that we are all still alive and Yes I know I have been a bad blogger :(
