Prayers

I know it has been a while since i have been on here but it is crazy for us and going to get even crazier in the month of March with boys both playing soccer, me in school and coaching and trying to keep up with the house, so if I am not on here much the next couple of weeks don't worry i will be back - just enjoy the nice break :)

Just wanted to send out a prayer request for Uncle Mike. He is battling cancer again and I just want him to know that I love him and that you are in my prayers every day. May God give you the strength to get through this. You beat cancer's ass once, now do it again!!!

Sorry for it being so short today but I have to run to a meeting, oh the joys of being a working momma :)

Miss and love you dad ~ so much.

Much love and happiness to all,

Happy 70th Birthday - Dad!

today is your big day, your big 70th birthday. I know if you were still here we would of had a big family dinner and probably a big party with all of your friends and family, but instead we will each have a drink and a toast to you on your big special day. We will tell a story or two, laugh and cry and ache for you to be here. I know you are in heaven having a great BIG celebration with your mom and dad and Uncle Wally and God.. I am sure it is way better than what any party we could have given you down here.

So much has happened since you have passed. Jeremy has had two more babies and finally found a new job, I am working at a new place that I love and am back in school to get certified in HR which I never thought my life would go down that path but luckily I have your personality :), Jen is at a new company - Thank God, and she is doing very well, Case is a Junior at Notre Dame and has a scholarship for next year for Football Manager, he gets to go to Ireland and all of the away/home games, Cary - he WON state! Can you believe it? And he got his driver's license, it was a HUGE year for him, Olivia, she is our dancing queen, she is so beautiful and wonderful to watch on stage, she is big in competitions and traveling, she is still the beautiful queen, Amy is busy with her boys with football and baseball and basketball - I don't know where she finds the time, Sean is doing well, almost done with his schooling, this June actually and probably baby #3 will be on the way soon after that :).. mom, well mom is doing well - she is busy with her Notre Dame gals, her work friends, euchre club friends and with your sisters and sister in laws, going to plays, lunches, dinners, card games, grandkids, etc... I know she misses you terribly, as we all do. That in a nut shell is the last three years of our lives, but you already know all of this :)

Today we celebrate your life - you are an awesome man/father/husband and I miss you so much everyday. Someone asked me today why I was in such a good mood, I told them because in church this morning as I was talking to you I told you I wasn't going to be sad today, I was going to celebrate your life and besides if I didn't laugh I would probably be crying -

I hope you are having a great celebration with God today - I know you are laughing and telling stories and maybe even playing a few board games. I miss and love you every single day - it still hasn't gotten easier, but hopefully in time it will!

Happy 70th Birthday Day!

Much love and happiness to all,

Yeah

it is starting to get lighter in the morning and staying lighter at night - you know what that means, Spring is almost here and Winter is almost gone - Woo Hoo! I really can't complain, we haven't had a bad winter at all - let's just hope because of that we don't have a terrible summer :)

It has been a while since I posted pictures on here. Here is a picture of Brayden winning third place in his Pinewood Derby race for boy scouts. Of course there was only 4 kids in his age group so they all got a trophy but he did a lot better this year than he did last year. At least this year his car went down the hill :)

Logan was SO excited to make his Valentine's Day box - beyond excited. He made me take pictures of it so I can show everyone. I was lucky enough to go to his party to help out but then he broke my heart. As I was leaving he was hanging onto me saying Please Mommy, Please don't go as a little tear was going down his cheek. Killed Me - I had mommy guilt all day long!

And of course when he got home we had to go through every single Valentine over and over again - I loved it!

It is official, I have become a volleyball coach. Yep, sure am. Brayden has a 3rd grade team and he has been dying to play. So myself along with Fr. Baju are coaching the boys - hopefully at least to one victory LOL. Brayden is super excited and I'll be fine, I have just never coached before but how hard can it be - right :)

I hope everyone has a great weekend - we are busy again - but it will be fun! Enjoy the time off of work for those of us who are working and love and kiss on your family!

Miss and love you dad ~ so much.

Much love and happiness to all,

Disappointing

snow once again. The boys were so excited to hear that we were going to get snow this weekend just to wake up Saturday morning and see nothing, well not much anyway. But it sure was cold, it was brutal on Saturday. Logan had a soccer game and we ventured to there but after that it was sweats and sweatshirt day for us. We just hung around and played Wii, board games, puzzles, nice long nap, then movie night and popcorn - it was a perfect Saturday!

Sunday was another soccer game and off to mom's for dinner. It was a nice weekend not to have to really do anything - every once in a while it is nice to have those weekends.

So it is Monday morning back to the grind. Please keep a special family in your prayers. A dear family friend, Jill Stewart is going through a rough patch right now, her husband has been diagnosed with cancer and is in the hospital as we speak. Such a YOUNG family - so I continue to pray for her and her family that they can get through this.

Something like that puts life in perspective you know!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed warm - it is suppose to warm up a bit this week.

Happy Monday!!

Miss and love you dad ~ so much.

Much love and happiness to all,

Bitter Sweet

finally am starting to sell some of our baby items. It is working out well because one of my co-workers his wife is expecting a boy and they already have two girls and no baby items at all, this baby was kind of a surprise. So instead of waiting until the summer to take it all to a yard sale I have just been bringing things into work and selling it to him. And now that I am doing all of this and once we get rid of everything that is when I will turn up pregnant :).....

But it is bittersweet in knowing that this part of my life is almost done, it is all nostalgia looking at everything

So much for the snow this week - Brayden was so disappointed, he was hoping for so much more. It is funny, he has signed up for volleyball and he is trying to convince me to coach his team. Even though I have played forever, I have just never been a head coach before in any sport. And I think there is going to be a conflict in that I have to go back to school for 11 weeks for work - I HATE to miss his games, but hopefully his games will be on another night! Maybe I can convince Aunt Mindy to be the head coach and I'll be her assistant LOL

I hope everyone is having a good week - it is almost Valentine's Day - make sure you get all your shopping done this weekend :)

Stay Warm -

Miss and love you dad ~ so much.

Much love and happiness to all,

Here it Comes...

well it has been predicted that the "White Death" is upon us - up to an 1" tomorrow - I guess we could be excited about it since we haven't really had a snow, but honestly, I was getting used to and enjoying the Spring like weather for our winter. Still will not be enough snow for the boys to sled ride - boo, but just cold enough and yucky enough to make the commute terrible.

This past weekend I had SO much fun. Friday night was a girls night out with dancing and laughing - even though Steve tells me I can't dance, I love to. I love to think that I really can, it is so much fun and such great exercise!

Saturday I spend all day shopping with Jen and mom. Jen has a big gala she needs to go to up at Notre Dame for Casey's Junior Class - WOW, a Junior!!! Any way... we spent all day finding the perfect dresses and it was so much FUN - we haven't done that since the last wedding, which was probably Sean's. Brayden wanted to tag along because he missed me since I was out on Friday night and sometimes it just makes it easier on us if we separate the boys - so he went and he laughed the whole time and it was always at Grandma. Whether she was telling a story or whether she was bringing something in for Jen to try on that we all just went - "ewww" - but he was so good. He said that is probably the last time he will do that because it was an all day event! Then in the evening we watched Sean's kids while him and Lisa went out. At one time I looked over and all four of them were sitting in their sleeping bags, eating popcorn and watching the movie, so peacefully, that I was like Wow this is what it would be like to handle more, we can do this!!

Sunday of course was the Superbowl - what a GREAT game!!! Wow. Of course the commercials didn't disappoint - here is one of my favorites! I always love the M&M commercials, Brayden laughed so hard he cried!

I hope everyone is doing well and had a great weekend! Be prepared for the White Death that is upon us and then wish and pray for the warm weather to come back :)

Boys!

What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails
And puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of

I was reminded of this little poem this week - oh boys! Boys don't know the meaning of I don't care how warm it may be it is still winter, you can not wear shorts and a t-shirt outside to play and put a coat on, no matter how old boys are they still and always laugh at burping and farting noises, boys are rough and they like to wrestle, boys run and have so much energy, they love to fight, they love Star Wars and Indiana Jones, no matter what age, they love having making camps out of pillows and blankets, they love all things Lego, they love Disney,  they will find the one spot in the grass that has a little bit of mud and bring it all into the house, they love to jump in puddles, they love to scratch and they love to laugh immensly. They love soccer and volleyball!

Boys - they are so sweet and loving, they hold onto their momma's hands, they love to hug, big bear hugs, they love to cuddle up to watch a movie, they love little babies and are so sweet to them, they love to twirl hair and to read books, they love to laugh at each other and they love, LOVE to play with each other and be there with each other. Even on days that they aren't getting along, they are lonely without the other, they give the best birthday kisses and hugs a girl could ask for, they could say the sweetest thing when you are having the roughest day and they can give the best hugs when you are loosing someone dear to you, they know how to make me pull my hair out and the next minute LOVE them to death - hugs and squeezes.

Boys - MY BOYS - I love them to death and I couldn't imagine my life without them. My goal is to make them great human beings who love and are kind to one another, who are successful in whatever they may choose, to continue to love them through all ups and downs of life - if I can do that and if I can give them a love for God and family - then I have succeeded.

~~~~~
It has been a busy weekend with soccer, birthday celebrations (Amy, Mine and Bill's), and family time!
Happy Belated Birthday to Aunt Carol - I hope you had a great day and were spoiled rotten!!!!!
Beginning of a new month - the mornings are a bit lighter and the evenings are staying light a little bit longer - here is to hoping the weather will stay this way - all WINTER!!!!
I hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying this nice warm up. Happy Wednesday~
