Brr it was a cold weekend but we had so much fun. The boys both had soccer games on Saturday morning and as much as Logan hated getting up for his 8:00 game, he did really well for the first time. Mind you when we went to his game it was a -7: CRAZY!!! But he did so well running and trying to kick the ball, he would stop every once in a while to wave at me and then right after the game the first thing he said was "Where is my snack". LOL Here he is with his shirt on that he was super excited to get. He just so much wants to be like Brayden.
Then it was off to Brayden's game and he played fantastic - he is really getting the hang of it and is doing really well. He scored a goal within the first three minutes of the game - and then played great defense. After the game we rushed to the Pinewood Derby at school. Steve and him worked so hard on the car and they had fun doing it. Steve wasn't able to be there so Logan and I stayed the whole time. Logan was so cute in that he followed Brayden and his friends around and tried so hard to be like him. Brayden's car didn't do so well - it came in last in all (4) races. I told him not to worry about it and next year we would call Uncle Sean and Uncle Jeremy for pointers LOL. He was fine until about the third lost and then I could see the disappointment on his face. But he had fun anyway - he said he had a great time. Steve was so sweet and left Brayden a note for his race. It really made Brayden's day. Here are pictures of his car and of Logan trying so hard to be like his big brother :)
So most of our day was spent at school and when we got home Logan was wiped out - he didn't even last five minutes. Poor thing.
After we all napped for a bit :) we have Movie Night - this is my favorite part of the weekend. The boys get their sleeping bags out and we pop some popcorn and all lay on the floor and watch a movie - I love these moments!
Yesterday we headed to mom's to celebrate birthdays - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY BILL - today is also Tonya's Birthday - so I want to say a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER TOO - it is a busy month for birthdays. But at mom's it was the first time everyone was there in a while, so it was fun and loud and chaotic; thank you Jen for the wonderful dinner!
On a side note, want to send out a special prayer to Carol - mom's neighbor, she is having a tumor removed from her neck where she found a lump. Just what we needed another person going through this. Sending you all my love and prayers.
I hope everyone has a great Monday - try to stay warm.
Miss and love you dad ~ so much.
Much love to all,
