Life...is Short

as I sit here this morning in my office with tears in my eyes, I realize how life is just so short and we are all here just on borrowed time. A friend of mine who I use to work with a few years back just shot me an email saying that one of the salesmen that we use to work with passed away at the end of September in a car accident and his wife is badly injured.

I kept in touch with Dan and Nancy through the years through our yearly Christmas cards. With little notes talking about our year. It was always so hard to get together but those Christmas cards were our way of telling each other that we are still thinking of you and you are a "friend". Dan was such a a great guy, always smiling, always in a good mood, he could take the worse day and just make it into the best day. He had great stories and he adored his son. He was his life.

I am still in....shock!

Life, we waste it on such petty useless feelings and for what - nothing. At the end, it isn't our life, it is God's life that he has given to us. We are not guaranteed tomorrow.

This makes me miss working with my ole' group of friends, but luckily for me we still keep in touch. I need that more than anything right now.

Shock.......

So Wet....but we survived

Well, we survived our girls weekend up at Notre Dame. It was so wet, and it rained so hard, downpours, it was crazy, all you could do was laugh. There wasn't a dry piece of clothing, but we saw one HELL of a game and we had a GREAT time. Here are some, okay well alot of the pictures taken. These are from my camera and I'll have more when Jen/Amy send me their yours. Enjoy!

Amy and Jen tailgating, Mom pretending too. She said it was too early.

We said - it is never too early for a Miller :)

Someone put this poor student's bike in the tree!

Library

We lite candles in honor of dad - this was at the grotto, of course tears flowed

Grotto - it was crowded

Game Day was there!

Mom took the picture, hence the blurriness.

Waiting for the player's walk so we can see and embarass Case and we did LOL

Bag pipes - beginning of player's walk

Brian Kelly

Backside of Case - we were too busy yelling his name, he rolled his eyes and was
totally embarrassed...

BUT, Vince Vaughn was right behind him. We asked Case if he talks to him,
he said, nonchantly, yes all of the time. Vince goes to all home games and walks
behind Case all of the time!!!

Can't really tell, but it is pouring. It was like this the whole night.Until the
4th quarter and then the heaven's opened up - so..much..rain

We called her "The Notre Dame Gnome" :)

We thought the kid in the white hand kneeling was Casey, but Case
said he had a blue hat and was on the sidelines by the coach - they all looked
the same LOL

The REASON we came to ND - MISS YOU!!!!

Cancer Tree - Dad put a ribbon up there when he was up there
the last time :(

It was a FANTASTIC weekend - can't wait to go back.
