today is Friday - that means Fish Fry. We had all talked about going down to the Knights of Columbus for their fish fry - that is where dad was every Friday night, cooking up his famous beer battered fish and macaroni and cheese. But as we all said we would, in the back of my mind, I wasn't ready to go down there yet. Mom isn't either - she didn't want to go. So the fish fry has been moved to mom and dad's. The boys, meaning Jeremy and Sean are going to fry us up some fish! Now everytime they have their fryers going it always ends up that they throw everything in there that they can - french fries, onion rings, mozarella sticks, shrimp, it goes on and on and as GREAT as everything is, you can feel your arteries just clogging up.
So it's clog your artery night at the ole' homestead. Someone at work had asked me about dad this week and the story. So I told them - I told them the journey our whole family has been on within the last year and how beautiful and how heart wrenching of a journey it has been. Of course I can't talk about dad without crying so the tears were coming but that is a good thing - I think.
I hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend - suppose to be a little wet but at least it isn't snow.
Miss and love you dad,
Much love to all.
