I received this email from Aunt Carol last night. Many in our family have the privilege of knowing, dad coached him in baseball and he was one of the guys to honor dad a couple of weeks ago. I know the community of Holy Cross, Latonia, Covington, Taylor Mill and all of the other lives he has touched our sending all of their thoughts and prayers their way for a quick recovery.
This e-mail has nothing to do with the Class Reunion but something of far far greater importance. I would like to ask each of you to prayer for our class mate Clay Eifert. He called me last night to let me know he has level three melanoma. He will be operated on Wed 7/7. Up until then he will be have a serious of tests. I think all of you know Clay is a very special person and has accomplished so much during his career hat Holy Cross. He has always put the school and, more importantly, the students well ahead of his own needs. He is the reason for the school’s success and for many of the past students success. We need him there to help ensure present and future student and school success. But of even greater importance is we need him in our lives for a long time coming.
Please pray for him and his family until he has a full recovery. In addition. Please pass this on to anyone else for prayers of a full recovery. I did not send this last night as I wanted to make sure Clay was ok if I passed this along. At the moment it is very serious. I am sure we will know more after the surgery but the survival rate for the level he is currently diagnosed at, is 30% - 60%. We need to move the needle way up and with prayer, I know we can take it to 100% survival for Clay. Thanks for your prayers for Clay
* For those of you who don't know Clay he is the tall guy next to Sean :)

We as a family know the journey of cancer - it sucks and it seems inevitable that is what most people in our lives are going to have to go through. You would think with all of the money raised and collected there would be numerous cures out there.
Please pray for the Eiferts as they embark this journey. May God give them the strength and the hope they need to continue each day. Please be with them and protect over them and allow them to feel the power of prayers and the presence of God.
Miss and love you dad,
Much love to all,
