Hit with Reality

what an amazingly beautiful weekend. My goodness, it is October and it is 80+ degrees - crazy huh. And then this week it is suppose to cool down, you wonder why everyone gets sick this time of the year.
Friday I was hit with a little dose of reality. We all have our days where we would like more or want more, where we have those moments of how people get so lucky in life and have everything handed to them and then you have a moment where you realize we are all blessed. If you have a job, if you have a roof over your head, if you have health insurance, if your kids are healthy - you are one of the richest people in the world. I had a moment on Friday that made me realized how blessed I really am. I wasn't feeling down or anything or any kind of jealousy issues, sure we could all always use a bit more money to help relief the stress of bills/tuition/etc... but I wasn't feeling any of that on Friday.

It was just a normal happy day and living life you know. I was going over paperwork at work on Friday with a new employee and as I was explaining the company benefits and she started crying. I asked her why she was crying - and she said you have no idea what it means to have a stable check, to finally have a stable income - and she went on to explain her story and by the end I was crying with her - great HR person huh :)..... I work in a factory environment and the pay is above mimum wage but not much more. But it just made me realize how life really is - you know. It hit me with reality and made me count my blessings this weekend - a lot.

Life is what we are going to take out of it - if you ever feel down on your life - just remember there is always someone out there worse off than you. If you ever feel that jealousy of how some people are just handed their blessings just know that they too may be struggling in a different way, you just don't see it. Life is a blessing, every day.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the weather. Happy Monday!

Miss and love you dad.

Much love to all!
