Crazy Weekend

what a crazy busy weekend. You always think you have all of the time in the world and before you know it you have to go back to work :(....  I loved staying home with the kids, we have had so much fun. But it was a HOT one - it is weekend like these that you wish you had a pool in your backyard to where from sun up to sun down you can just be out there on a raft with a cold beverage relaxing. I keep trying to talk mom into building one in her yard - maybe we can keep working on her :)....

Lots of yard work, water playing, being with friends and family - even though it was a hot weekend, it was a great one. I had all intentions of working a little bit this weekend but yeah that didn't happen - I use to be in the service business and had to work on holidays so it is weird for me to actually be off and enjoy it - but it didn't take me too long. I still miss the craziness of it all, but as in anything in life, God had different plans. And it is okay - because God knows the path that we all must take.

Brayden is in school until Friday - half day Friday. And it is just really going to meet the criteira of the school. He has already brought home most of his books, so I know this week will just be play week and goof off week. I am sure the teachers are ready for it to be over with.

Still haven't heard anything more on the game on Sunday - we just had all heard a "rumor" about the dedication to dad and we are trying to find out what time it is going to be at, so no one has to go and spend the whole day at Florence Freedom. As soon as I hear something I will post it and please spread the word, we would love to have a crowd there!

Today is Memorial Day and I would like to personally thank all of the men and women who have or are still serving our country to allow us our freedom. You are in my prayers and thoughts everyday for a safe return to your family and friends. I know you may feel like you are alone out there, but you aren't - we all THANK YOU and pray for you each every day. And my heart is with all of the people we have lost and their families, I know it is a difficult journey in losing someone especially in war but keep the faith and know that God loves each and everyone of you - and your loved one did not die in vain - he/she are heros in everyone's eyes.

God of love and mercy, receive our thanks this day for the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country. Help us to honor them in our work for peace through justice, that people across the globe may live abundant lives freed from the threat of war and violence. In the name of Christ, we pray. Amen.

Miss and love you dad.

Much love to all!
