First of all I am SO sorry for not giving any updates since Thursday. It has been a crazy weekend. Dad is doing okay. He is with us one hour and then the next hour he may be in his "fog" as we call it. Where he just stares at the floor and doesn't really talk much. Saturday morning was really bad - he was in the fog until about 2:00 and then all of a sudden he came out of it. He joined the conversations, had visitors and was able to talk to them. But it seems like when visitors leave then he goes back into the fog.
We don't know if this is what they call the beginning of the end, we have no idea, hopefully it's just temporary and he will be with us for a bit longer - a lot longer! All we can do is take it one day at a time, one hour at a time, each hour or day that we do have with him, is a very beautiful blessing and we are all just spending as much time with him as we can. Because we never know what tomorrow may bring. No one does. So we take our blessings, one hour at a time.
It is suppose to be a beautiful week not too hot, which is great because dad likes to sit out on the back patio but with it being so hot and humid he hasn't been able to.
I posted some pictures of the very PROUD Grandpa meeting his name sake: He is so very touched and honored. There is also a picture of Lydia with Kali (Jeremy's little girl) and then Lydia meeting her little brother.
Much love to all,
