well had to call in hospice again today. they were scheduled to come anyway to change his bag but his back and headaches seem to be getting worse, so they upped his dosage- when she left he said he wasn't feeling any pain, so that is good - hopefully it stays that way.
he is planning and wanting to take mom to South Bend, IN this weekend so he can show her the Notre Dame campus - he has been there a couple of times and he loves it. the plan is to go up Saturday afternoon, walk around campus, have dinner, get up and go to church in the beautiful church up there and then come home. Of course this all depends on how he is feeling come Saturday morning.
I wish I could make the trip with him, but this is a crazy weekend for me. I believe it is going to be Jenny and Bill taking him up there which will be great for them and for mom and dad. I hope he is able to go and hope he does okay on the trip if he does go.
If anyone wants to visit, we just ask that you call first. Sometimes he is okay with it and other times he isn't - it's just kind of a day by day thing right now.

On another note, a few of us are heading down to Florida this weekend for Dad's memorial service. Mom seems to be doing okay, keeping busy. A lot of us have plans on visiting her this summer, so with such a big family she'll have visitors most of the summer!
I think we are all still taking things one day at a time. Which is all that we can do!
We are keeping you all in our prayers! And we are now saying an extra prayer for Bob, Theresa and the Carson Family for the sudden loss of Bob's father.
